Surf Competitions
The North Malin Open Surf Competition is the first of its kind in Ireland. A Free Surf competition hosted by The Northwest Surf Club and sponsored by Sea Cow Surf Co & Tides Surf Magazine
The competition runs over three 40 minute heats with 10 surfers per heat. There will be no judges and no spectators on the day, just a film crew and 30 surfers.
The North Malin Open has three categories:
- U18’s
- Alternative Craft
- Shortboard
After the competition the footage will be posted on online allowing the public to vote on the winner of each category, surfers voting for surfers. There is a cash prize up for grabs for the winners. (€100 - u18's winner, €225 male and female alternative craft winners & €225 male and female shortboard winners).
The entry link goes live on 10th of April with a maximum of 30 surfers. Entry is €20 paid online. The competition can be watched and voted on using the link is posted below.
